Gary is responsible for the strategic investment direction, growth, leadership and network integration for Sterling and Freeman. He oversees the strategy and extension of the company’s international footprint as well as structuring of key partnerships, joint ventures, regulatory and corporate governance.

Nearing three decades of experience in trading and investment, wealth management and asset management. Gary has significant asset management experience in the listed assets, commodities, credit and real estate sector.

Gary previously worked at MF Global, ahead of becoming a founding member of Sterling and Freeman Capital Management.

Greg is the head of compliance for Sterling and Freeman. Greg oversees Sterling and Freeman’s risk management and compliance strategy. With over 30 years of experience as a responsible officer and AFSL manager, Greg has significant financial planning, private equity, risk and investment management experience. Greg is highly regarded in the funds managed and aged and disability-care community and is often referred to in publications.

Greg is passionate about inclusivity and diversity in investment and advice. He has pioneered the pathway for aged and disability care through Aged Care Specialists and Wealthcare Funds Management, of which he is the founder. Greg has set the benchmark for advisers, accountants and lawyers for the Residential care and personal injury industries.

Betty is a non-executive director at Sterling and Freeman. Betty is responsible for Investment and product strategy as well as partnerships. Betty has over 15 years’ experience in trading and investment, wealth management and asset management. Betty has significant asset management experience in the listed assets, credit and real estate sector.

Betty is passionate about inclusivity and diversity in investment and believes in the right for all investors to have access to good quality investments, despite their investment pool or preferences. She is a founding shareholder in two socially-focussed retail superfunds and spearheads product development at Sterling and Freeman to reflect changing demand and environment.

Betty previously worked at Macquarie bank, Bell Potter Securities, CMC Markets and J.P Morgan. Betty is fluent in English and Vietnamese.

Leon is the Head of Credit at Sterling and Freeman. Leon is responsible for relationship management, deal origination and executing Sterling and Freeman’s credit and risk strategy. He has 20 years of credit industry experience, including having spent many years developing business and leading high performing teams at senior levels within a number of banks and credit organisation.

Leon most recently worked at Macquarie Bank, Commonwealth Bank and Stratton Finance.

Edward is the responsible for the risk management and compliance strategy for Sterling and Freeman’s, key projects, partnerships and offshore strategy.

Edward has over 20 years’ experience in investment management, holding senior executive roles in listed and unlisted funds management and property groups spanning sectors including property, securities, debt and venture capital, with both a local and international focus in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Edward is a chartered accountant and Fellow of the ACCA.

Edward has a deep understanding of the responsibilities of providing financial services having managed the day-to-day decision making in relation to several Australian financial services licensee entities and has assisted several managers in the development of significant investor visa platforms. Edward holds a number of directorships, as well as holding treasury roles with non-profit organisations.
